Tien Hsiang Lo (No. 41, The Landis Taipei, MinChuan East Road, Section 2, Taipei) – located in an upscale hotel, traditional Hangzhou-style cuisine is served here – which apparently earned it a coveted Michelin star for its high quality cooking. Signature dishes found here include Slowly Braised Pork “Don Po” Style, Stir-Fried Shrimps with Long Ching Tea Leaves, Fairy Duck Soup and many more. In addition, there’s a dish called Drunken Chicken, consisting of juicy slices of chicken meat made tender with a rice wine. There’s also Braised Tofu with Dry Shredded Scallop and Shepherd’s Purse – consisting of Petite cubes of velvety curd soak in a thick clear liquid filled with finely chopped green leaves.
