Nala’s Mexican Food
Nala’s Mexican Food (7-1 Roosevelt Road, Sec. 1, Zhongzheng District, Taipei) – this take-out restaurant, which opened in recent times, serves tasty Mexican food, which is very difficult to find in Taipei. Their burritos, in particular, are popular among both locals and visiting Americans & other foreigners for their freshly-made quality ingredients and low price (US$ 3 each).
This eatery is reminiscent of the Chipotle Mexican food chain in USA, in that Nala’s choice of meats is the same: barbacoa (beef), carnitas (pork), and grilled chicken All that and other Mexican specialties can be washed down with a beer from its hand-picked selection of premium and local beers, like Corona. Since this eatery is really a family-run take-out operation, large groups can order out, and eat at nearby Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall for a takeout picnic. The Taipei Times newspaper gave this restaurant a good review in early 2019, so Nala’s is likely to attract expat students and others wanting to eat Mexican while visiting Taiwan.
